ADDITIONAL ENDORSEMENT SCHOLARSHIP AVAILABLE FOR BOTH OPTIONS!
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR ALL ADDITIONAL ENDORSEMENT PROGRAMS:
While the program takes a minimum of 3 years to complete, the coursework must be completed within 13 months. After the coursework is completed, you must wait until the 3rd anniversary of the issuance of your Interim Certificate before the new area can be added to your existing standard or professional certificate. However, the Interim Certificate can be issued as soon as the test is passed even if you are still engaged in coursework or portfolio tasks.
OPTION ONE: Online Traditional Course Option!
Complete up to 37 course modules at your own pace.
Note: With this option you can decrease the number of courses taken by obtaining credit for some of your prior education courses. CLICK HERE to see course lists. Equivalent to 14-17 credit hours.
Even though the courses can be completed in 13 months or less, the important note listed above still applies.
OPTION TWO: Online Challenge Course Option!
With this option candidates complete a challenge course that determines if they already possess the knowledge contained in our Phase I courses.
If the course is successfully passed, all Phase I courses are waived. We will still conduct the transcript analysis to determine if any Phase II courses can be waived. If the course is not passed, candidates will be required to switch to Option 1 or Option 3.
Even though the courses can be completed in 13 months or less, the important note listed above still applies.
OPTION THREE: Portfolio Assessment Option!
Demonstrate your skills by completing the PPAT Portfolio (Praxis Performance Assessment for Teachers) with a score of 32 or higher and up to 4 course modules. Candidates should be able to complete the portfolio tasks and courses in 6-8 months but can take no more than 13 months at your own pace.
Even though the courses and portfolio tasks can be completed in 13 months or less, the important note listed above still applies.
