#T.E.A.C.H. requires all candidates pursuing admission to the program to provide evidence of the following:

Bachelor’s Degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution

Official transcripts with a 2.95 or GPA or higher

Virtual Interview or Response to Admissions Questions

There are 10 questions that we would like for you to answer. You have the option of uploading your responses in a word document OR you can answer the questions during a Virtual Interview. If you select the virtual interview option, you have 1 minute to answer each question. Casual dress for the interview is acceptable - we just want to get to know you and your thoughts about education and teaching 😊.

Prior to receiving your interim certification, you must also:

Pass the Michigan Test For Teacher Certification (MTTC) in your desired area of certification.

Provide proof of valid certification in CPR (Child & Adult) and first aid (MUST be from an MDE Approved Provider - CLICK HERE FOR MDE LIST OF APPROVED PROVIDERS)

Pass a criminal background check

(We conduct checks via ICHAT, the only public resource for name-based Michigan criminal history background checks.)

Note: While a passing score on the Michigan Test for Teacher Certification (MTTC) is not required for admission, it is required to receive interim certification.
