Below are the eligibility requirements for admission into the #T.E.A.C.H. alternative teacher certification program in Michigan.
Begin Your Journey

Bachelor's
Degree
You must hold a bachelor's degree or higher from a Regionally Accredited college or university. "National Accreditation" is not sufficient.
Completed Application
You must submit an application for admission. The application is short and should take you 7 minutes or less to complete!
Academic Transcripts
Request that your college/university send your official transcripts sent to transcripts@trainingeducators.com
Personality Profile
The link for the Personality Profile will be sent you after submission of your application.
GPA
Requirement
You must have a cumulative GPA of 2.95 or higher on a 4.0 scale. The GPA can be from any degree acquired that is a BA or higher. Options are available for GPA's below 2.95. Schedule a call with admissions for more details.
Virtual
Interview
If your GPA is below a 2.95, you will required to complete a Virtual Interview or answer the interview questions using our Online Form.

Prior to receiving your interim certification, you must also:

Pass the Michigan Test For Teacher Certification (MTTC) in your desired area(s) of certification.

Pass a Professional Knowledge and Skills Test (as required)

Pass a criminal background check

(We conduct checks via ICHAT, the only public resource for name-based Michigan criminal history background checks.)

Note: While a passing score on the Michigan Test for Teacher Certification (MTTC) is not required for admission, it is required to receive interim certification.
